A Watery Line
Exhibition
at The Tetley, Leeds, 2014
Collaborative, improvised large scale sculptural installation. This was built during the exhibition and was used as a stage set for performances and readings.
A series of practitioners (Joe Gilmore, Peter Nencini & Sally Nencini, Matt Hodson, Kate Gibb) were invited to run workshops on book design, experimental embroidery, printmaking and writing.
A body of paintings, collages, drawings, prints and objects was exhibited in the ‘Saville Row’ gallery.
Occupying a different part of the gallery for 2 weeks, we focused on creating new work in the space.
Nicolas wrote and recorded a collection of songs
William made a ceramics studio, producing objects based around social situations
Jay walked, talked, visited and researched with contemporary practitioners in the city in order to make a responsive publication
We also curated a series of events, including a ‘social’ night, film screenings and talks as part of our events programme.
